Sign a Buyer Representation Agreement
A Buyer-Broker Representation Agreement is a written contract that clearly outlines the services I provide, how long our agreement lasts, and how compensation works. It protects you by making everything transparent before we do anything together. California law (AB 2992, effective January 2025) requires a signed agreement before we tour any property. We review it together before you sign anything, and I'll answer every question you have.

Get pre-approved
Before we search seriously, you need a pre-approval letter so we know your real budget and can move fast when the right home appears. I can connect you with trusted lenders in the area if you need a referral.

Define your priorities
We'll have a real conversation about must-haves versus nice-to-haves, target neighborhoods, timeline, and budget. I'll give you honest input on tradeoffs and what to realistically expect in this market.
